NCAA Women's Division I Hockey Awards
Patty Kazmaier Award- Player of the Year
The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is given to the top female college ice hockey player in the United States. The award is presented during the women's annual ice hockey championship, the Frozen Four. The award was first presented in 1998. The 10 finalists are selected by the Division1 womens ice hockey coaches. The ultimate winner of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, is chosen by a 13-person selection committee made up of NCAA Division I women's ice hockey coaches, representatives of print and broadcast media, an at-large member and representative of USA Hockey, the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States. |
